The remake of the series Percy Jackson and the gods of Olympus is currently underway and the writer Rick Riordan has updated and they are declaring that in the first season they will be able to see a much-loved location from the novel Il Ladro di Fulmini: il Lotus Casino.
The writer, in his new post published on his own blog, has declared:
Wait until you see the Lotus. You will know this part of the adventure well if you have read books, but you will also find many fun details, new scenes and easter eggs that will make the experience even better.
Between the pages, the Lotus Casino is introduced in chapter number 16 and is described as a place with the sign of temptation located in Las Vegas. Percy, Annabeth and Grover think that it is a useful stop to rest, but they will discover that it is a prison that attracts guests by giving them unlimited tokens to use in slot machines that create addiction. Time, moreover, flows in a different way than the rest of the world and people can exchange a week for an hour.
In the novel, the Lotus Casino is also a key place in the story of Nico and Bianca di Angelo, who spent decades trapped in the structure. For now it has not been anticipated if the two characters, who only appear in the third book, will be involved in the first season of the series produced by Disney+.
The location also appeared on the screens thanks to the film produced in 2010.
Rick Riordan has then declared that the reruns of the episodes should continue until mid-January and he is currently planning the season finale.
